It is OK.: The menstrual cycle involves a complex timed functional interaction between the hypothalamo-hypophyseal hormonal control, the ovaries and the endometrium (uterine lining). Any variation in amount of hormone secreted or its timing in this complex system can result in a change of amount or duration of the next menstrual cycle. During menses, the endometrium is shedding, explaining the particles.
