No, ...: Cold sore is related with HSV-1. Both HPV & HSV are virus, but like and attack different cells and tissues of the body so resulting in different clinical manifestation. So, HPV doesn't cause cold sore.

No: Related germs but they don't cause the same problems. The wart strains of HPV have been known to cause perioral warts on some immune compromised persons but not on normal people. HPV in normal people are selective in attacking genital skin.
