A member asked:

Whats different between aneurysm and varicosa??both of them are abnormal dilatation.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Correct: aneurysm usually applies to arterial structures taking blood from heart to body while varicose is used to describe venous abnormalities in vessels returning blood to heart. Arteries tend to be thicker walled and more prone to cholesterol buildup as part of handling higher pressures
