Talk to ur FamilyDoc: Go back to your Family Doc and tell him/her what you've noted above. Unless you're pregnant, we don't usually treat asymptomatic bactiuria, therefore we don't even look for it. On the other hand, there's a difference between test strip showing evidence of infection vs urine culture & sensitivity demonstrating specific bacteria. So ask your doc which UTI test turned positive & get more testing.

Recheck: Generally patients with a UTI have 2/3 symptoms, burning, frequency and urgency. If you have none of these symptoms you likely don't have a bladder infection. Be rechecked. All the best.
