Started swimming for 1/2 hour daily for almost 1 month . lips become very dry, esp upper lip. can it be caused by chlorine in the pool?

Oils: You're washing away your skin's natural oils swimming. Use a moisturizing lotion after swimming. Should be fine.

Possibly: Also consider that the issue may be related to the mouth breathing that is part of swimming and medication side effects. Applying petroleum jelly AKA vaseline before you swim may help ameliorate this problem. Thank you for trusting HealthTap!
