I have expired children's liquid benadryl (diphenhydramine) may it be used?

Why ?: If you want medicines to perform as expected you use it during its useful lifespan.If expired, it has started breaking down.It's strength cannot be assured & it may breakdown to products that are troublesome.This drug is rather innocuous & may be good for up to a year after its end date.However,I cannot advise its use. I would never use it for an important condition & if not important, why bother
