External otitis: External otitis. Also called "swimmers ear". Most common causes are using Q-tips (don't do it), and getting ear canal wet. Treatment is keep ears dry except to use OTC ear drops (ask pharmacist), no Q-tips. Ears should respond. If not, see ENT doc.
