Not a likely cause: You should stop the medication under instructions from the prescribing doctor. As a reproductive endocrinologist I will tell you I do not believe the Remeron (mirtazapine) is making your periods painful, but you may still choose to get off it - just do it with a doctor's help, we cannot prescribe or treat you online. Good wishes.

Stop taking it: And let your prescriber know. Please note that if your painful periods persist you may need a full Gyn consult as well as reconsider Remeron (mirtazapine) if appropriate therapeutic effect.
