A member asked:

I got my result from my gynecologist today :positive for chlamydia , but when i did urine sample at a general doctor's office, it said negative. why?

Get treated: Different tests will sometimes give different results. If you have had unprotected sex, one positive chlamydia is enough reason to treat. About 25% of chlamydia positive people also have gonorrhea and both can be treated with the same antibiotic. Please get treated. If you do not wish to be pregnant, use contraception all the time, every time. You may consider implanted contraceptive, or IUD. Practice safe sex. Get HPV vaccine.
