IBS?: Your symptoms could certainly fit those of someone with IBS. But people with IBS also have a change in bowel habits. Bloating is not an infrequent problem, and one of the most difficult to treat. You might try to eat fewer foods likely to be fermented, along the lines of the FODMAP diet. The other possibility is small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, a condition that can be treated.
