It is when there is : Pressure build up in a particular compartment. The leg has diffeent compartments that houses muscle, arteries, veins, nerves etc. it is dangerous in that the vessels get squeezed and can cause serious issues. The treatment usually involves released the pressure by a fasciotomy which opens up the compartment.
