You should: Review this with your pediatrician to make sure there isn't an anatomic reason for this to be the case. While infections can cause bleeding(much less commonly gross blood from the urethra), it would be atypical for it to coincide with the initiation of your menses. All the more reason to formally address this with your doctor as it appears an exam is warranted.
