A member asked:

Vaginal itching on the outside of vagina. not a yeast infection. itching comes and goes and seems to be near my urethra?

There are two possibilities for the itching. The first, is a yeast infection that has not been diagnosed properly. The second is irritation to the area from wiping or a caustic soap near the urethra after voiding. Eliminate any soap in this area that is not Dove, Caress, or Ivory and see if the itching dissipates. If not, see a GYN MD for evaluation.

Agree with Dr. Ingram. In addition to his suggestions, you should consider changing your laundry detergent and adding an extra rinse step to laundry. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get HPV and Covid vaccines. Wish you good health!
