Iv in arm.given compazine (prochlorperazine) through iv.few days later blood drawn from same spot. not through iv. arm really hurts. could it be serious like a clot?

IV line: It could well be a clot...I'm assuming you have a PICC line. Usually when there's a clot there will be no blood flow or fluid flow in the catheter. You should let your doctor know. Clot busting agents can be flushed in...and if a lost cause they can remove the line. Swelling occurs quickally with this. The good thing..these things are very rarely dangerous.
