Unreliable : the most reliable way to figure out when you are ovulating is by using an ovulation predictor kit from your local drugstore. It would be extremely unlikely that you are ovulating 2 days into your decidual bleed. Most women ovulate between day 9-17 but exactly when has to be linked to a surge in LH, and that is what those kits measure. The quality of mucous especially during menses is not reliable.
