Add a little plus: In most cases the prescription will be for distance indicating some degree of minus power. To adjust for computer screen distance, add +1.25 to this power and that usually works. Note however, that the pupillary distance (the space between each eye) is set for distance viewing (usually 57-63 mm) and needs to be adjusted closer for viewing of a video screen.
