Be sparing: Study results vary, but we do know that tremendous numbers of americans are deficient in vitamin d and /or iron and/or Folic Acid from diet / lifestyle. Vegetarians share additional problems if they do not know exactly what they're doing. Should not cost more than $15 a year for a good vitamin-and-mineral tablet daily. Anyone asking you to spend much more is trying to bamboozle you.

Yes: A diet rich in antioxidants and healthy carbs, fats and proteins is essential. Most patients are still not eating a healthy diet, are still eating processed and convenience foods. Get ample vitamin d supplementation (get your levels checked), a good quality probiotics, good quality fish oil, a multi mineral formula at the very least. It will cost you, but it is worth it.
