Cold "urticaria": This is called cold "urticaria" although your case is better described as cold angioedema. Can you tell us how soon after the exposure the swelling happens? If this develops hours after the exposure, the problem may be more complicated. Have you tried taking an antihistamine 1-2 hrs prior to the exposure to see if this helps? No swimming or showering in cold water please.
