Other symptoms?: A fever is oral temperature over 100.4F. Anything over that's is concerning for an infection. If it's under that number, it is within normal range of temperature. If he has a temp over 100.4F AND other symptoms (sore throat, ear pain, cough, etc), it would be advised to see his pediatrician. Make sure to take his temperature before giving him Children's Motrin or Tylenol (acetaminophen).
