Many causes.....: There are many causes of swelling. It is best to get a general workup. One can pick up heart murmurs and irregular heart beats with a stethoscope, but a more accurate test is an EKG. Bloodwork would also be helpful to check kidney function. Limit your sodium intake as water follow sodium.
