Possible next steps: A permanently blocked bile duct is a clinically unacceptable alternative, so your choices include: 1) second attempt at ERCP by someone with greater experience/success rate than your first physician (specialty or academic referral?); 2) percutaneous drainage by an interventional radiologist; 3) surgical drainage (many operative options); 4) frank discussion with your first GI doc--pls start here.
