A member asked:

If fecal material gets near vaginal opening, is it possible that could cause yeast infection?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not likely: While yeast are a normal inhabitant of the stool, it would be more likely that fecal soiling would result in a bacterial urinary tract infection, similar to what happens when little girls mistakenly wipe back to front.
