Will health insurance cover dentures?

Check specific plan: Regular health insurance does not usually cover the cost of dentures, possibly if accident related and then very doubtful .What type of health insurance do you have? Sometimes there is a dental component you may not be aware of. Is this health insurance through a job or the Obamacare product? Many times the program through Obamacare has dental. Check for the specifics.

Dental Insurance: Dental insurance usually has a component to cover part of the costs. There is usually still out of pocket expense since it is considered a major procedure. Health insurance usually does not cover prosthetics. Ask your plan administrator for specifics since each plan is different and there is no one correct answer for everyone.

Dental Health Only: Some dental insurance plans cover dentures at the benefit level they allow for major services. To verify benefits call your insurance company or visit the company's website.
