Depends: If it is true ringworm on regular skin there are usually simple OTC anti-fungal creams/lotions that can help. Scalp ringworm requires an exam & prescribed meds.

Try hydrocortisone: Try Hydrocortisone 1% cream that is over the counter. This usually treats inflammatory rash that is not infectious. If you have itching try adding Diphenhydramine or loratadine.
