Use it of lose it: Think of physical exercise as a less formal physical & occupational therapy. We advocate for PT/OT to regain function loss as a result of stroke. While physical exercise may not address functional loss and "treat" stroke, most studies show lower risk of heart disease, stroke & death from regular physical exercise. So use it or lose it.
