Possible infection : A prolonged heavy period with pain be due to an infection. You need to be seen ASAP . Even if it is not an infection, the prolonged heavy bleeding can cause serious problems. You need to be seen for an exam and testing by your PCP, GYN, or an urgent care clinic today. Hope you feel better fast.
