Abcess: This abcess May require incision and drainage with a wick left in place to promote continued draining of purulent material which may be sent for culture. Antibiotics will be continued most likely. Under no circumstances should you try to burst this abcess or boil.

Cyst: i wouldn't. Finish the antibiotics first. Use warm compresses as well
