Check with a doctor: you are playing soccer,and you use your foot more than your hand,unless you are having a cast and the regulation will prevent you from playing,i do not see a reason for you not to play.either way you need to check with the doctor that taking care of the fractured thumb.

Probably.: It would be reasonable. A sprain can cause the same symptoms, but a missed fracture in a finger can cause permanent loss of function.
