47 yr old female taking 1,000 mgs of calcium daily. how much magnesium should be taken in accordance to the calcium?

Magnesium : The usual dose of magnesium is 400-600 mg. per day. The main side effect of calcium is constipation and the main side effect of magnesium is diarrhea. You can adjust the doseage to have normal bowel movements.

None: If a alcoholic.....you can add 400mg/day. If normal food habit and digestive process ,you need no Mg supplement.
