Increase side effect: The Z-Pak (azithromycin) and Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) antibiotics do not interact with one another, but a concern may be that you will see an increase in side effects if you have both of them in your system! Not sure how you tolerated the Z-Pak but both of these antibiotics can cause diarrhea, nausea, stomach upset, etc. Be sure to take Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) with food, that should help with any GI issues.
