Quite common: Unfortuntately many people suffer yeast infection during/after treatment wiht an antibitotic. Antibiotics can be quite useful to treat bacterial infections, but they kill off the bad as well as the good bugs. Vaginally, the lactobacili are good guys, but often get destroyed while the woman is taking antibiotic, thus can result in yeast infection. Otc i.e. Monistat may help. Consult doc. Good luck.

Yeast : Taking any antibiotics can cause an overgrowth of yeast vaginitis. This can cause the itching you are experiencing.

See MD: I agree with dr smikle that you may have a yeast infection, but the only way to tell for sure is to see your gynecologist who can look at the discharge under the microscope and make a specific diagnosis.
