Surgeon/dermatologis: You need a surgeon (a general surgeon or preferably a colorectal surgeon) or a dermatologist to I&D (incise and drain) the boil. Boils are actually abscesses, which means they are walled-off infections. The pus, or bacteria-filled fluid, inside of them must be drained out, and the skin must then heal from the inside out. Squeezing it will only push some pus further in, which will make it worse.
