Geographic Tongue: You MIGHT have "geographic tongue" (see the photo). Unfortunately, this is what's called a "poorly understood disease." A dentist or primary care provider might be able to give you a topical anesthetic. Also, you should confirm the diagnosis. I'm basing it only on your description, but it is very common.
