A member asked:

I have acid reflux frequently. lately i suspect it's the cause of why my wife says my breath "smells like salami". should i be concerned?

Reflux, GERD: Due to the adage "Happy wife, happy life," if your wife doesn't like salami there is cause for concern. However, more important is that about 10% of patients with frequent heartburn develop Barrett's esophagus, a precancerous condition. Most often it occurs in middle aged white men, but anyone can get it. You should see your doctor to see what treatments or tests (endoscopy) might be needed.
