Tinea pedis is: A fungus which is a living organism. It lives on skin by eating from the keratin layer of the skin. The body recognizes the fungus as a foreign body and as a result histamine gets released. Histamine causes certain reactions like itching, or sneezing, watery eyes...Many of the allergy like responses.
