Eyeglasses: Eye refractive error is the technical term for a need for eyeglasses (or contacts) to correct vision. This is the best way to see clearly and your ophthalmologist can evaluate your needs and recommend the best eyeglasses for you. You might be eligible for contacts or lasik.

Laser surgery: You can only "improve" a refractive error by laser surgery. You can "compensate" for it by wearing the correct glasses or contact lenses, but the refractive error will still be there.
