You can use: A sulfonylurea like glipizide or glimepiride along with Victoza (liraglutide)(GLP-1 agonist), particularly if you are metformin intolerant. An alternative would be adding insulin to your Victoza (liraglutide). Or an even less favorable alternative would be adding a thiazolidinediones like pioglitazone to your Victoza (liraglutide).
