Get checked: With no period for 6 months you likely have some lining of the uterus that needs to come out. The spotting is a period trying to come on. You need to see your doctor and get checked. It is not healthy to go 6 months with no period, unless it is caused by birth control pills or Mirena (levonorgestrel) iud or Depo-Provera provera.
