Reaction to virus: Reactive lymph nodes are often seen after a variety of infections and may not be related to the hypothyroidism. Hashimoto's disease, the autoimmune form of hypothyroidism, can be associated with lymph node enlargement. If the lymph nodes do not decrease in size with time, they should be further evaluated and possibly biopsied
