Depletion: Depression is a depletion illness secondary to chronic stress, internal (psychological) or external. If you can identify the external stress, do what you need to do to reduce it. If you can not identify external stressors, it is time to see a therapist to try to understand and resolve the internal stressors. Antidepressant medication + psychotherapy might help.
