Menstrual pain: The cramping may be from ovulation. Possible causes beside ovulation pain include endometriosis, adenomyosis and fibroid. An examination will start the evaluation process. Pelvic ultrasound can tell if you have fibroids & possibly endometriosis/ adenomyosis. The last two are more difficult to evaluate but your gynecologist can do further tests to evaluate your pain.
