Pregnancy test: If you miss your period by 4-5 days, do a home pregnancy test. What you described does not sound like a menstrual bleed. Use first morning urine and follow the instructions for the test carefully. If the result is negative, repeat the test in 3-4 days, if you do not get a period by then. Alternatively you could see your doctor for a blood test, which should be positive now if you are pregnant.
