Chicken pox : There are treatment for itchiness, as the skin blisters that are highly contagious can take weeks to heal and crust over, up to 2-3 weeks. Once all the blisters have popped and healed over, your child is safe to be around other kids. Make sure you see your doctor towards the end of the illness to check on the healing.Do NOT give aspirin during this illness, it can cause serious problems

There are........: Your child should be seen by his pediatrician to ascertain if this truly is CP. If so, there is an anti-viral medication, acyclovir, that can be given. Ideally, it should be given within 25hrs of the rash starting. The rash will clear without treatment, however. Your pediatrician can best advise you.
