Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding is not uncommon especially with a new pill or a low dose estrogen pill or if pills were missed or if other medications are being taken that can interfere with the contraceptive pill. Unfortunately the bottom line is that is a bummer but not a medical problem.
