A member asked:

Can you let me know how many people in the united states have hepatitis c ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

4-5 million: At least 4 -5 million people have been exposed to hepatitis c in the us. The cdc estimates that about 75% of these people were born between 1945 and 1965. This is why they recommend that everyone born between those years get tested once for hepatitis c.
