No cough syrup: Cough syrups aren't given to infants, actually they're not recommended for children under 2 years of age. For a 3 month old, you can use a humidifier and suction out his nose. Saline drops in the nose are useful prior to suctioning. Such a young infant should be seen by his/her pediatrician.
