Contact cardiologist: Pacemaker insertions do not typically cause a great deal of pain. It would be wise to contact your cardiologist. The constipation is treated with stool softeners (colace) and lots of fluids.(unless you are fluid restricted)

Constipation: Increase fiber and use miralax (polyethylene glycol) daily. Stool softener as well

Great we all should: Have PEACE MAKER installed. And there will be much needed peace on EARTH. On a serious note Operative site will be painful and pain Medicine would be helpful. If Narcotic Analgesics is constipating you, it is ok to take stool softener like Senna or natural diners like Prunes and Papaya.
