A member asked:

If atrial fibrillation with sick sinus syndrome changes from intermittent to continuous, is further treatment needed? taking coversyl & pradaxa now.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

AF: This discussion should be with your doctor who knows you and your entire situation. In general if maintaining sinus rhythm is no longer realistic, we still need to continue rate control and usually anticoagulation. These treatments however need to be patient specific.
