Prove To Who?: Mania is a cluster of symptoms that occur over seven days (or less if hospitalization or incarceration is required). You cannot prove that the mania was not drug induced but if a drug test and thyroid function is normal and there was no head trauma it is widely accepted to be a bipolar mania.
