Brain mri shows periventricular deep white matter t2 hyperintensity bilaterally and slightly asymmetrical. what does this mean for my three year old ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Neurologist: There can be several causes for the above abnormal findings and they usually are explained by some sort of brain injury or trauma. Abnormal brain MRIs in a young child need to be evaluated by a specialist. You should have the child seen by a pediatric neurologist to review the complete history and have a physical exam.
